rain or shine

for the first time in...what a week, its decided to rain.
of course its my day off and was planned on being spent shopping in the city with my mom.
she has to pick up those oh so fabulous I <3 ny souvenirs, to spread throughout az.
ohh mom i love you, now lets frolic in the rain.

home is where the heart is

my family and i spent the entire afternoon at my aunt's house yesturday..we had both sides of the family there>> mom and dad's, for a last hoorah bbq.
the parents and sisters leave to go back to az on Saturday. though my mom wants me to go with them...i feel its still not time to leave my beloved new york. whats a couple more weeks going to hurt. overall it was a really nice afternoon...couldnt ask for better weather, couldnt ask for a better family, & couldnt ask for better home cooked food.

we should have never left ny...
